Thursday Trivia - Necessary Parties

Did you know that Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Jennifer McComb (Laura - the homeless girl, in the "Home for Christmas" episodes) co-starred together before "Saved by the Bell?"  They worked together in the movie, "Necessary Parties."  It is a great little movie from 1988 where Mark-Paul played a young boy who sued his parents for getting a divorce.  Of course he does a brilliant job in it (and Jennifer too), especially for it being one of his first roles.

...And as you can see...his hair is his natural, brunette color.  Not too many photos out there that show him with darker hair as a child. :)

Jennifer saw my tweet on Twitter.  She was incredibly sweet and replied/retweeted.  Thanks again Jennifer!  Means a lot!

If you're interested in seeing the trailer for the movie, you can watch them both in it here:

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Shooting New Movie

Mark-Paul Gosselaar arrived in Mobile, Alabama, yesterday (and it looks like he found a place to work-out while he's there).  He is currently shooting a new movie with Robert De Niro.  Mark-Paul hasn't said much about his role, or even mentioned the name of the movie, but checking out De Niro's IMDB, it looks like he'll be in the movie titled, "Bus 657," which is set to be released in 2015.

Congrats Mark-Paul!  Can't wait - I know you'll do great!

TBT - Saved by the Bell's Belles

Today's Throwback Thursday is another item from my personal collection.  These photos are pretty rare to come by - I just love them!  I really need to get my scanner hooked up...so sorry, this is a picture taken by my cell, so it's not completely flat.  I'll get it scanned one day so it's better quality. ;)

Dinner at Tiffani's to Air in January!

Tiffani Thiessen posted the following image to her Instagram account, and commented saying the show will begin in January (filming begins in November as mentioned in her "Sweden With Love" interview).  Looks like she was trying out some recipes last night.

Can't wait to see the show Tiffani!  You never disappoint!

Mario Lopez - 2014 ALMA Awards

Tiffani Thiessen on Celebrity Name Game

Tiffani Thiessen was recently on Celebrity Name Game (10/09/14).  Just like on Hollywood Game Night, she was competitive and so much fun!  I'd love to see her come back and do the show again!

Here is a behind the scenes interview with her.  I will try to get some photos of her appearance on the show soon!

Kiersten Warren Shares Memories From The College Years

I know there are some people who weren't huge fans of The College Years, but I LOVED the spin-off.  I loved seeing the characters evolve and turn into adults, and I wish it had lasted longer than just one season.

Kiersten Warren who played Alex Tabor, recently gave some behind the scenes tidbits from her time on the show.  Thanks so much Kiersten...the fans really appreciate it! :)

You can find the interview here:

TBT - "Dear Tiffani" Magazine Scan

A little something from my collection for Throwback Thursday.

This was from Starz Magazine while Tiffani Thiessen was on Saved by the Bell.  Not sure if she meant they were in photos together, but I would love to see this modeling she speaks of with Mark-Paul Gosselaar  "years ago before we got roles on Saved by the Bell."

Tiffani Thiessen on Celebrity Name Game

Don't forget to watch Tiffani Thiessen's appearance on "Celebrity Name Game" tomorrow (October 9, 2014).  Check your local listings!

She rocked it on "Hollywood Game Night" (both times), so I know she'll do great on this!  Can't wait to watch Tiffani!  Glad to see you doing these type of shows, they're so much fun!

Mark-Paul Gosselaar at Mattel Party on the Pier (Mattel POP)

Mark-Paul recently donated his time to helping out at a charity event for Mattel Party on the Pier.  He volunteered with the basketball booth.

Happy 20th Anniversary Zack & Kelly!

A couple days late, but I want to wish a Very Happy 20th Anniversary to Bayside's favorite couple, Zack & Kelly Morris! <3 I hope you two are very happy in TV land. :)

It's hard to believe it's been that long.  I feel like it was maybe 10 years ago, not 20.  Time sure does fly!

***Leave us a comment:  What do you think they're up to these days?  Still married?  Jobs?  Kids?

Mario Lopez: Just Between Us

Make sure you pick-up a copy of Mario Lopez's memoir "Just Between Us."  I have already bought it and read it, and I can tell you that is a definite must for Mario fans!  Lots of interesting information and really tells you how Mario became the man he is today.  There's a chapter on Saved by the Bell too!

Thanks for letting us in on your personal life, Mario.  I know that couldn't be easy.  Job well done!

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Takes 1st Place!

Mark-Paul Gosselaar competed in a celebrity race at the Irwindale Speedway on September 27, 2014  He finished first in his heat and the main event.

Congratulations Mark-Paul!  Way to go!

Baby #4 For Mark-Paul Gosselaar!

Congratulations are in order for Mark-Paul and Catriona Gosselaar!
He announced (or was it slipped?) that he and his wife have another one on the way!!  This makes baby #4 for him (he has an older son and daughter to his ex-wife), and #2 for Catriona (they have a boy together).

If you don't want to watch the whole video, start it at the 28:00 mark for his announcement.

...After agreeing to come back and race (which is up in the air with him filming a new movie shortly):
MPG:  "My wife just cringed when I said that, I know she did.  I love you baby!"
Interviewer:  "Your whole family, they're like, nooo you can't do that!"
MPG:  "You have three kids and one on the way! You're not racing!  *blows kisses*....I love you."

Congratulations to the Gosselaar family!  We are very happy for you!

We're Back!

Soooooo after several years away, I am bringing the old site back - this time in blogging form. :) For those that weren't around or don't remember...SBTB Corner (SBTB = Saved by the Bell if you didn't figure that out) started back around 2002 and ran for about 6 years, I believe.  In its final days, it was an expansion of SBTB: NOW! (which is also still around and is awesome, so check it out!).  It was mainly a media site: videos, screen caps, wallpapers, and signatures/avatars (back then message boards were popular).

The plan (for now) is to mostly share news/photos of the cast (and their current/upcoming projects as well), but to also post stuff from the past as well.  I would love to get back into the media aspect of things as well, as to not be another SBTB news site, like my friend's site I mentioned.  So let me know what you are interested in seeing me offer!

I recently got into Twitter and so this is what peeked my interest in re-launching the site.  I really have missed posting about Saved by the Bell and the actors with their current lives.  I feel like Twitter just isn't enough (especially with the limited number of characters), and it easily gets lost.

I do have a family with two young kids, so I probably won't be able to keep up with all the news out there.  However, I will try my best to share the more important news.  I also do tend to favor Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen, so you'll probably see a bit more news with them than the rest of the cast.  I apologize if you feel like I'm being unfair.

So here I am.  Bare with me while I get things going and organized.  I'm going to be changing my Twitter once again (from BarbBELL93 to SBTBCorner), so sorry if there's any confusion to my followers.  I promise this will be the last time.  And if you don't already follow me - now is the time to do so ;)  I'm sure there will be times I only update on there.

I strive on comments, so please give me any and all feedback through the comment forms on each post.  If I feel like no one is enjoying the site, I will want to stop, so keep me motivated!  I just ask that you are polite about it - I want to keep this a positive place!  Thank you!
